The MAXTRAX Shackle Shield is designed to act as a protective sheath that slides over the MAXTRAX Core and Fuse shackles, offering extra protection against abrasions and sharp-edged recovery points, prolonging soft shackle life, and enhancing safety.
Current Independent Recovery Points and Recovery points incorporated into bullbars have frequently been manufactured with a 90-degree edge, which is not recommended for soft shackle use, as it can damage rope fibers during recoveries.
MAXTRAX Shackle Shield is compatible with any soft shackle brand on the market & can be retrofitted to soft shackle ropes with a diameter of up to 14mm (excluding woven cover sheaths).
The MAXTRAX Shackle Shield eliminates the need to rely on metal bow shackles in many vehicle recovery situations, resulting in a lighter, metal-free recovery solution. Manufactured using a thermoplastic polyurethane designed to be flexible while maintaining strength to protect the fibers of the soft shackle.
Using the unique “U”- shaped design, the MAXTRAX Shackle Shield is designed to reduce tight-radius contraction under load, protecting soft shackle rope fibers & potentially extending the soft shackle’s lifespan.
